Orlando Rock

Orlando Rock was educated at Bristol University. He has pursued a career in the commercial art world since 1990.

Orlando is President of the Stamford Civic Society and joint Custodian of Burghley House, a charitable trust open to the public. The Trust was established to ensure the long term preservation of Burghley House and its historic collections and parkland, alongside the educational opportunities this presents. He is also a Trustee of London’s newest house museum, the Cosmic House.

Orlando is currently Chairman of Christie’s UK, having worked in the furniture and decorative arts department in London and New York for the last 30 years. He worked closely on Private Collections and Country House sales, as well as sales to the Nation, including Dumfries House, Houghton, Bute, Longleat, Rockefeller, Riahi and Champalimaud.
