Scott and Shackleton Items

Acquisition at auction of 5 items associated with the polar explorers, Sir Robert Falcon Scott (1868-1912) and Sir Ernest Henry Shackleton (1874-1922). Scott's sledging flag, Shackleton's compass, Scott's watch, snow goggles and satchel. The first 2 items were withdrawn from the auction on 17 Sept and purchased privately, the other 3 items were bought at auction.
