William and Mary Salvers

Acquisition of a pair of William and Mary silver-gilt salvers made c. 1690. Believed to be part of the plate ordered as royal issues at the time of the coronation of William and Mary. The maker's mark is that of George Garthorne, a London goldsmith who was the son of a Yorkshire farmer.
