Two Venetian scenes by Canaletto

Acquisition of two Venetian Festivals by Canaletto (1697-1768) which had been on loan to the Bowes Museum for ten years when the owner found it necessary to sell them. 'The Bucintoro returning to the Molo' and 'A Regatta on the Grand Canal' were both painted in 1730.
