Torrin Estate, Isle of Skye

Acquisition of 2225ha estate situated on the Isle of Skye on the shore of Loch Slapin. It includes the lower slopes of Bla Bheinn. There is a wide range of habitats on the estate including limestone grassland, broadleaved woodland, freshwater lochs, salt marsh, sandy and rocky shoreline. Torrin is a crofting estate lying within the Cuillins NSA and includes parts of 2 SSSI's, a SAC designation and a SPA designation.
