Temple Bar

Restoration and relocation of Temple Bar from Theobalds Park, Hertfordshire, back to the City of London. Temple Bar was erected in 1672 by order of Charles II as the gateway in what is now The Strand, to the City of London. Sir Christopher Wren is thought to have had a part in its design, but the Bar was taken down in the 19th century and re-rected at Theobald's Park.
