Sir John Narbrough Journal and Charts

The British Library have acquired the autograph journal and charts of the 17th century English naval explorer, Sir John Narbrough. The journal has been export stopped by the RCEWA under Waverley criteria 1 and 3 and starred as the committee feel that every possible effort should be made to keep the Journals in the UK.

The purchase price of Sir John Narbrough's Naval Journal is £310,000. The British Library is urgently seeking donations to acquire this rare and unique heritage item in order to make it available to both academics and the general public.
