Single Form by Barbara Hepworth

Acquisition of sculpture by Dame Barbara Hepworth (1903-1975), an outstanding example of the scupltures comprising a unitary form which she made in the late 1930s. Carved in 1937 and acquired in the same year by the poet and art critic Sir Herbert Read, Single Form is a 31-inch high monolith of holly wood.
