Siege of Gibraltar by George Carter

Acquisition by private treaty sale from the Army Ogilby Museum Trust, of an oil painting by George Carter (1737-1794) for continued display at the National Army Museum. The painting depicts General Elliot and his officers observing the destruction of the Spanish floating batteries during the Siege of Gibraltar, 1784.
