Reliquary Figure of St Sebastian

Acquisition of Medieval silver reliquary of St Sebastian, made in the late 15th century in Augsberg and given to the Cistercian Monastery in Augsberg in 1497. From the Wernher Collection. A similar reliquary of St Christopher, also from the Wernher Collection, was the subject of an application from National Museums of Scotland (00-00005) but museum's offer was not accepted by vendor.
