Preservation of Archive film, North West Film Archive

Re-processing for preservation of 169 physically fragile 16mm films from the collection of the North West Film Archive at Manchester Metropolitan University, were preserved with this grant, playing a major part in securing the region’s moving image heritage. When this work had been completed and there was an underspend of grant, NHMF trustees agreed that the balance could be used to conserve a further 31 films on unstable 35mm film stock.
