Portrait of William Huskisson by Rothwell

Acquisition of Richard Rothwell's 'Portrait of William Huskisson' for the Palace of Westminster. Huskisson (1770-1830) was an MP from 1796 until his death in 1830. He held various offices, including Under Secretary of State for War and President of the Board of Trade. He was run over by a train at the opening ceremony of the Manchester-Liverpool Railway in 1830.
