Portrait of John Wilkes and his Daughter by Zoffany

Acquisition of portrait of the radial politician John Wilkes (1727-1797) and his daughter Mary. Wilkes affection for his only daughter Mary (1750-1802), familiarly known as Polly, was the deppest attachment of his life. Oil on canvas, 1264 x 1003mm by Johan Zoffany (1733-1810) , exhibited in 1782.
