Panels from Henry III's Palace of Westminster

Acquisition for conservation and display of two oak panels from Henry III's painted chamber at the Palace of Westminster. They depict ; 1) A prophet holding a scroll, 2) A seraph. They were probably executed around 1263, making them among the earliest known English paintings.The frames date from circa 1840.
