Pair of silver dessert forks by Charles Rennie Mackintosh

Pair of silver dessert forks designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and made by David W Hislop, Glasgow, 1902. Each fork has four tines an elongated stem ending with a pierced oval. Commissioned as part of a 12 place-setting cutlery service for Mackintosh's teacher and friend, Fra Newberry, and wife Jessie.
