Navan Fort, Co Armagh

Acquisition of archaeological landscape surrouning Navan Fort, a commanding hilltop enclosure 2.5 kilometres to the west of Armagh Dity. It is the site of a legendary Emain Macha, the political and spiritual capital of the Kings of Ulster. It is also the earliest historically identified site in Ireland, recognised as Isamnion in Ptolomy's 2nd century AD map.
