Nativity, miniature by Jean Bourdichon

Acquisition of a miniature painting by the French artist Jean Bourdichon (1457-1521) It is a page from an illuminated Book of Hours that belonged to Henry VII and may have been made for his sister, Mary Tudor, wife of the French king, Louis XII. The book itself was broken up into separate pages, perhaps in the 17th century. Many of the pages are in UK collections.The painting will be conserved and interpreted before exhibiting.
