Merrion Monotype Collection

Acquisition of historic printing equipment from The Monotype Corporation, comprising principally several million type patters, punches and matrices. Thirty European languages are represented in the library of letters. There are 116 designs for non-European alphabets. The collection was acquired by the NMSI Science Museum for loan to the Merrion Monotype Trust.
