Luton Guild Book

Acquisition of an illuminated manuscript of 130 vellum leaves, the official copy of the membership list of the Guild of the Holy Trinity at Luton, from its foundation in 1475 to its dissolution in 1547. It is richly decorated with an extremely fine frontispiece by a Flemish miniaturist in which Edward IV, his Queen, Elizabeth Wydeville and his mother, Cecily, Duchess of York, are depicted among the founders of the Guild.
