Linnell Armchairs from Badminton House

Acquisition of two armchairs, japanned black and gilt, from a set of eight designed by William and John Linnell for the Chinese bedroom at Badminton House, c 1754. See also pair acquired by Bristol Museum and Art Gallery in 1989-90.
