Knowstone Inner and Outer Moors, Devon

Acquisition of Knowstone Moors comprising 18 acres (72ha) of culm grassland, adjacent to the Trust's existing reserve at Rackenford Moor. It is designated a site of special scientific interest and a candidate special area of conservation. It is a common and is grazed with cattle in the summer. It is a very important site for the endangered marsh fritillary butterfly. It has 2 interpretation boards and a reserve leaflet for the enjoyment of the visiting public.
