Acquisition of silver-gilt dish by P Harache I with London hallmark. Engraving attributed to Blaise Gentot. Purchased by private sale from the Wernher Collection. This is the most spectacular example of virtuoso engraving in the French style and a highlight of one of the world's greatest collections of Stuart and Georgian plate.
