Repatriation of the the Clyde-built sailing barque Glenlee (ex TS Galatea). She was built in 1896. The Trust had bought the ship from the Spanish Navy in 1992 (with a grant from the Glasgow Development Agency). The NHMF grant enabled her to be prepared for towing to the Clyde and to meet all the expenses of the tow. After dry-docking in Greenock and a full examination of the hull (which was re-painted) the ship was towed to Yorkhill Quay in Glasgow, where she was restored and where she is now exhibited. The major contributor to the restoration was the Heritage Lottery Fund.
