Gillow Billiard Table

Acquisition of a very fine collection comprising a Regency mahogany billiard table and its accessories was manufactured c 1825 by the famous cabinet-making company of Gillows of Lancaster. The individual pieces include a full-size billiard table, supported on 6 turned and reeded legs (l 383.5, w 201cm); a marking board in the form of a cheval fire screen (h 124.5 x 61 cm), a pair of cue stands with turned and reeded poles, circular tiers and acanthus scrolled feet (h 173, w 39.5cm) and early maces and cues.
