Acquisition of a semi-natural ancient woodland, 118 acres, of oak, ash, field maple with hazel understorey. Also includes interesting archaeological features (e.g. ring ditch and significant woodbanks). Excellent flora including herb paris, thousands of common spotted and early purple orchids. SSSI
