Foster’s Green Meadows

Acquisition at auction of SSSI of old pasture meadows for management as nature reserve. 13.5 a of old unimproved pasture grassland, adjacent to the Trust's existing reserve at Eades Meadow to create one of the largest and richest areas of neutral unimproved grassland in the region, scheduled as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Since the purchase the whole site has been designated as a National Nature Reserve, reflecting its outstanding ecological value and importance.
