Floor Tiles from Palace Chambers

Acquisition, including the cost of removing, packing and storing, of some 12,000 19th century tiles from Palace Chambers, built in 1877, the building surrounding Westminster Tube Station, demolsihed in 1986.. Its floor tiles were made by Craven Dunhill, and contained examples of most of the designs then made at the Jackfield Tileworks in Ironbridge.
