Durham Medieval Bible

Acquisition at auction of an illuminated Latin bible of the late 12th or early 13th century. Of French or English origin. The earliest of the ownership inscriptions state that it had belonged to the Priory Library in Durham. To be available to researchers by appointment and intermittently shown as part of the Cathedral's medieval manuscripts exhibition.
