Acquisition of Doncaster Race Cup of 1845. Silver modelled by E H Bailey RA to a design by Frank Howard. It was made in the manufactory of Messrs Storr and Mortimer and cost depicts Alcibides driving a four-horse chariot. It was won by Mt Hill's 'Sweetmeat'.
