Acquisition of a watercolour by Samuel Palmer (1805-1881) which is a fine example of his vision of pastoral life mysteriously seen under a moonlit sky. Watercolour and body colour, with pen and ink; varnished. Verso: mountain landscape; a figure on horseback with another figure in front on a narrow track at the side of a steep mountain. Pen and brown ink.
