Clifton Dish

Acquisition of the Clifton Dish, a rare survival of the work of a pottery at Clifton, near Workington. Made c 1700-1750, this red earthenware, press-moulded slipware marriage dish is nearly 16 ins in diameter and has the words Clifton Dish inscribed on the back.
