Clevedon Court, Somerset, Contents and Land

Acquisition of furniture, paintings and surrounding land by the National Trust (which had owned Clevedon Court since 1961) from the Elton family, on the generous understanding that the proceeds would then go into the endowment of the property. Clevedon Court is a 14th century Manor House with 18th century terraced gardens.
