Chester Church Silver

Acquisition of an important group of ten silver, and two pewter items from four redundant churches which stand, or originally stood, within 100 yards of the museum. Two silver-gilt, eleven silver and two Sheffield Plate items ranging in date from c 1570 to c 1828. The communion cups, patens and flagons were made in Chester and London.
