Channon Bookcases for Powderham Castle

Acquisition of a pair of bookcases, veneered with rosewood and brass inlay, made circa 1740 by John Channon for the Old Library at Powderham Castle. To be purchased by the V and A for loan to Powderham Castle. V and A has taken responsibility for the conservation.
