Carbet Castle Ceilings
Salvage of a painted ceiling from the former Carbet Castle mansion in Broughty Ferry, Dundee. Painted by Charles Frechou, the decorator of the Paris Opera House, in the 1870s. When demolition of the house became unavoidable, the Civic Trust rescued the surviving painted ceiling so that it could one day be reinstated elsewhere.
