Burton Constable Wine Coolers

Acquisition of pair of neo-classical wine cisterns of carved and gilded pine and limewood, sarcophagus shaped, with tiger's heads with brass rings on the end; paw feet, 1769. Supplied to Burton Constable Hall as part of an ensemble of furniture designed by Lightoler and made by Jeremiah Hargrave.
