Brogyntyn Manuscripts

Acquisition of collection of medieval and later Welsh and English literary MSS (the 'Brogyntyn', formerly 'Porkington', MSS); estate records and family correspondence of Owen of Brogyntyn, Wynne of Clenennau, Glyn and Ystumcegid, Maurice of Clennennau, Owen of Penrhos, Mostyn of Nant, Anwyl of Parc, Vaughan of Corsygedol, Longueville, Godolphi and Owen of Glasynys and Ormsby-Gore, Barons Harlech, 14th-20th century. The estates lay mainly in Caernarfonshire, Flintshire, Merionethshire, Montgomeryshire and Shropshire.
