Albion 'dog cart' vintage car

Acquisition of vehicle manufactured in Biggar by the Albion Motor Car Company in 1901. It was one of the first two Scottish companies to build motor vehicles with any success and in significant quantity. Very few dog carts were built, but they mark the transition from the horse drawn vehicle to the horseless carriage. The engine is slotted into the space where the dogs would have been placed. The care was in extremely good condition. It is a four-seater with back to back seating. the engine is a horizontal twin cylinder and water cooled, and the gear bos has two forward speeds and one reverse.
