The Holburne Museum campaigned to buy this 17th Century beadwork basket made in England around 1665. It depicts Charles II and Catherine of Braganza next to a castle within a leafy landscape. It reflects the remarkably high standard of British needlework during the 17th century.
This has been achieved thanks to the generosity of hundreds of members of the public, plus a number of trusts and foundations.
