Tenbury Collection of Music Manuscripts and Books

Acquisition of c 4,500 items (bound in c, 1050 vols) of printed music and music literature of the 15th-19th centuries from the library of St Michael's College, Tenbury, which closed in 1985, and whose famous music manuscripts were donated to the Bodleian. The collection is especially rich in early treatises (British and foreign), and contains much British printed music not received by the copyright libraries.
