Portrait of Elizabeth of Bohemia by Peake the Elder

Acquisition of a portrait of Elizabeth of Bohemia (1596-1662) the daughter of James I, who married Frederick V, Elector Palatine in 1613. She became queen of Bohemia for only one winer. Most of her life as spent in exile. Robert Peake the elder (c1551-1619) painted this portrait in 1603 when Elizabeth was 7 years old. To be hung in the Queen's House at Greenwich. Oil on canvas, 1354 x 953mm
