Medal Group of CSM William Biddle

Acquisition of a group of nine medals awarded to Warrant Officer Class 2 William Biddle MC DCM MM for his service in the Boer and Great Wars. Sergeant Biddle of the Gloucestershire Regiment was one of only three non-commisioned officers to receive five separate awards for gallantry. Military Cross, Distinguished Conduct Medal and Bar, Military Medal and Bar, Queen's South Africa, 1914 (Mons) Star, British War Medal, Victory Medal and Long Service and good conduct medal.
