Ham Fen, Kent

Acquisition of 73 acres comprising Ham Fen, part of the Sandwich Bay to Hacklinge Marshes SSSI. This nature reserve contains Kent’s last remaining fenland as well as several paddocks of wet grassland, near Sandwich. Noteworthy species within this nature reserve include: saw sedge, tussock sedge, bog pimpernel, bitterns and buzzards.
