St Mary and All Saints Rivenhall, Wyseman Monument
Repair of the Wyseman Monument in St Mary's Church, Rivenhall. It was erected between 1594 and 1603 and is made of alabaster and black marble. It consists of a tomb chest with the full size effigies of Raphe Wyseman and his wife Elizabeth Barley lying side by side. Against the front of the chest are the figures of their six children. A survey showed that the monument was in imminent danger of collapse.
