Brampton Wood, Cambridgeshire
Acquisition of 327 acre wood, the second largest ancient semi-natural woodland in Cambridgeshire, consisting of oak, ash, maple, hazel and many other tree and shrub species. Ride flora is very rich and holds populations of Biodiversity Action Plan and locally rare species, including Black Hairstreak butterfly, White Admiral butterfly and a population of Dormice introduced to the wood about 10 years ago. Sites of Special Scientific Interest.
